I am planning on buying a Bersa 380 compact or the new CC one for CCW at my work. I am new to pistol buying  and have some questions about the cost of the bersa and there finishes. Are these prices good deals for that finish

All statments below are what i "know already" :uhoh:

There dual tone one is the cheapest, but will not rust becuase of the alloy and the painted slide. right? But the painted slide will rub off over time $200 ish

The all black wont rust cause its covered all over, but gets rubbed off over time $220 or is the all black one, the blued one

The nickel one is the 2nd most expensive, but will rust some but never rub off? $250-300

The most expensive is the All Blue one the "delux model", it wont rust and harder to rub off? $200-350???

Bersa .380

Well, I have the dual-tone Thunder 380 and the blued finish is holding up very well. It's also the prettiest of the various combos (in my opinion, of course). It is well made for the money, only needing the adjustable rear sight drifted a bit to the left to zero, and a bit of hand smoothing on the side of the ramp with a dremel cone to feed hydrashocks reliably -- FMJ was fine. Much less work that the Colt Commander I had. The trigger pull is great in both single and double action.
Only trouble is that I bought it for the missus and she's happier with a long-barreled K-Frame instead of the small pistol.

Those prices are about what I have seen them for.
The black finish is also referred as blue. Alot of the gun makers are going to this finish. it is much cheaper to make than the real blue.
The duo tone is pretty good. Once the finish wears off the black slide, it can rust.
The nickel finish is pretty good as far as corrosion, however, I have seen nickel after being carried in a holster, develop really ugly areas where the nickel is worn. I also have seen nickel chip on some of the older cheaper guns.
The deluxe one that you are referring to has the nicer finish, and probably a type of bluing. It would hold up pretty good, but will eventually wear off in spots if carried.
Just remember that any finish can and will rust, even stainless if not properly taken care of. It is just that some finishes like stainless, are less likely to rust. I saw two stainless Rugers at an auction that had rust in various places.
Hope this helps.

I have the satin nickel type of finish on my Thunder .380. The wife's Thunder .380 is the matt "black" finish. Her's doesn't get that much carry, where mine is carried weekly. The "nickel" finish is wearing some, but not bad. I have carried this pistol for 7 years. It is holding up very well. I would not hesitate to spend the extra $ and get the "nickel" finish again. It has worked for me.

What can i say i am a bigot when it comes to gun colours.

Wheelguns need to be silver
Pistols need to be dark-black/blue

I only like engraved pistols to be silver

Well i an off to the cross road gun show
