You may observe that crimp sets the final oal depending how aggressive your roll crimp is. I was surprised the first time it happened but you lever the bullet lower in the case with the tampered crimp grove.

That can happen, the case will follow the crimp groove, unless the crimp is too heavy.

Will do especially since I’m shooting from my tube fed Henry!
Thank you.
There is a very noticeable change in feel in a very short distance. It easy, little more, it's easy, little more it's hard at the bottom of the stroke. Hard is relative as a press has plenty of power to ruin and deform bullets. I think I'm seeing a small gap and all that is required is that you get a measurement equal or less than the lead just above it.

Yes, a tiny bit more. From the picture it looks like there is just a bit of space between the crimp at the mouth and the bullet.

As the others have said, a smidge.

Looks good otherwise.

There's more crimp than it looks like at first glance, a 90 degree from the round pic would show the crimp better, but I agree, a touch more crimp.

That’s with the 3.6 Grains of W244? You are very much standard pressure at that level. Like others say a touch more crimp then once the dies are set you can bump things up a bit. Top of the standard pressure ladder is 4.0 grains. My testing led me to the 4.0 grains at which the bells went off and the smiles came out. Your mileage may vary of course but there is still some room there. Just wanted to say I am happy to see someone actually listen to the experienced folks here and learn something. You ar well on your way, well done!

Thank you. The patient instructions I received here were tremendous. I read much and watched a ton of vidoes but still felt apprehensive starting to reload this caliber. Being able to ask specific questions and not get looked down upon for not knowing was great. Thanks again to everyone that helped me out!

The best news is 357 is exactly the same, just a seating and crimping adjustment...
