I experienced a couple of hangfires with a Bersa, in the 2-3 second range IIRC. I thought it was an ammo issue, so I switched from the factory FMJ range ammo I'd been using and loaded a mag with my usual carry JHP. Sure enough, after a few rounds, another hangfire. The gun was repaired under warranty, and has been fine since.
In any case, I kept it pointed down range. Of course, I didn't have to wait long, but would have as needed.
