Quick question about an AR15

Almost any standard AR-15 rifle will be "good" quality. Your intended purpose for the rifle will determine the "quality" you require for said purpose!

Since this is Rifle Country, we are not talking about elderly rimfire pistols.

The HSA-15 and the Crusader are both reasonably fine rifles. Mil-spec, standard, not spectacular.
The Crusader has flip up sights, the other a FSB which will need a rear sight.
Both are more money than a PSA for a bog standard AR.
For the same money I saw them selling for there are other options better featured.

I do not see any thing on High Standard AR-15s, but I did find info saying they made M-16's (and 50 BMG M-2's!)

Their .22 pistols made for the military are great guns, their later revolvers were very low end.

Looks like they went totally out of business after quite a few reorganizations in 2018.

I guess that they stopped making them. But I assure you that they made them for a short period. Thanks all.

I can absolutely confirm that High Standard made AR-15’s because I have one sitting in my safe right now. It’s as good as any Ruger, S&W or other mid range AR. FWIW, mine was manufactured in Houston, Texas.

Before Obama was elected and everyone and their brother started making AR’s I used to have a fairly lengthy list of who’s machine work was sold by what labels. I did post it on a forum years ago but it’s long gone.

This review of the HS rifles is from 2015. Certainly a high point for the AR market ;) I bet even Nancy’s AWB part II can’t get them to sell like Obama did.
