Most will remember my thread about the experiment I tried with the EGW sear, Wilson Hammer, Wolffe main spring and Cylinder Slide sear leaf spring.

My club is about an hour away, and last weeks weather was terrible.

Went to the range today.

Fired 220 rounds
120 of lead, 230 grain reloads
100 of 230 gr FMJ

I had
Zero hammer follow. (autoing)
Zero light primer strikes (19# main spring)

I had 220 rounds or PURE fun.

Next thing is install an EGW firing pin stop with almost no radius on the bottom edge where it cocks the hammer. Leave it almost square and just lightly break the corner on a stone. It will slow unlocking and restore the the slide velocity back to where it was before you installed a 19 lb. mainspring. This mod combined with the factory (16 lb or lighter) recoil spring makes the gun feel much better and reduces the muzzle dipping down when the slide closes. Any guess as to your new trigger pull weight?

The Wilson slide mounted compensator and Buress Fast Fire red dot WEIGH and slow the slide just fine right now.

No guessing, between 2 and 2.5 lbs. but man I got jumped on all over about it in my previous thread. :) I'll probably push the left leaf FWD a tad next time it's out. Aim for a solid 3 lb. It didn't go off unless I specifically pulled the trigger, but well you know.
