Well here as promised is the range report for my GP-100. The rain slacked off enough for me to sneak out and get some rounds off.
145gr. Winchester Silvertip @ 15 yards is a very controlable load to shoot in this gun. It seems to really like the bullet weight and powder combo. Shooting freehand was easy to return to target.
This one is 24 handloads with Hogdon 110 powder and 158gr Keith type SWC, as fast as I could get on target and reloading using three speed loaders. I also shot 6 MagTech 158gr. JHP's I had laying around......not bad at all. Both shot at 15yards freehand, Weaver stance.
The last was some Federal 180gr. JHP Whitetail Loads at 25 yards sitting with my elbows resting on my knees. Not a very good group, but with this load, I found I have to hold at 6 o'clock to hit the bullseye
All in all I am very pleased with the outcome. I must say that Marc Morganti's work has made this gun very pleasurable to shoot and well worth the investment.
