I picked up a S&W 910 about a week and a half ago. I also picked up a set of hogue grips for it. Well today I finally got to go to the range with it. I have to say that I really like this gun. I shot 200 rds of Winchester white box through it with zero malfunctions. This gun was very accurate. I was able to keep all shots in a ragged 3" hole at 15yrds. The trigger pull in DA mode was a little heavy but very smooth. It had no stacking or creep whatsoever. The SA mode was also very good. It had a short amount of take up and then broke cleanly. The pull was lighter than on my glock. But the main thing I liked about it was that the trigger reset is shorter than on my G23. This is a very good trigger, I really was pleasantly suprised by it. I will warn people with smaller hands that the hogue grips add quite a bit of size to the gun. With the stock grips I can work all of the controls with out shifting the gun, but with the hogues installed it takes a little bit of shifting in order to work the slide release. I really like the way the hogues feel though so they will be staying on. Recoil was very light with this gun. I am so used to shooting my G23 and GP-100 that the 910 felt like shooting a .22. So all in all I would have to say that this is deffinetly a keeper. I will probably be looking at a CS9 in order to keep this guy company. If any one is looking for a good quality 9mm I would highly recomend they check this one out.

I had one for a few years............worked great. There are a bunch of aftermarket hi-cap mags on the market and some of them work quite good, but it takes some 'trying' to find ones that work well

Thank you for the report. I'm looking at the 910 and 457 (still gotta decide on caliber; decisions, decisions.) I rented a CS40 and was very pleased with it, except that I didn't like only being able to get 2 fingers on the grip. If I go with the 910 I'll be looking at the 908 for a carry gun. Then I'll have the 9mm value line covered; 910-house gun, 909-car gun and 908-carry gun. I've always been kind of a "family" man. :D :D

ddj8052,

Didya pick it up new or used and, if I may ask, what did you pay for it? Smith auto's have served me off and on for over a decade and I just rediscovered them with my recently aquired 3953. Never had a non-magazine related malfunction with a Smith auto. Congratulations on the purchase of a fine pistol.

Coffe- i picked up a brand new one. I paid $450 for it. I am even happier with it now that I have got it to the range a couple of more times. I will hopefully be picking up a CS9 by the end of summer to match it.

Great buy! If they can keep that kind of pricing up with their quality we may start seeing Smiths in police holsters again.
