I’m wanting a rangefinder for archery hunting. I had picked out and ordered the Cabelas 1600R and just got an email that my order was canceled. :cuss:

I’m not too concerned with max range since it will be primarily an archery finder. What I do care about is having a red readout.

Any recommendations for a finder with red that won’t completely break the bank? It’s surprisingly hard to find which color the displays are on various models.

Sig Kilo 2000 & 2200 and Leica 1600B all have red lit displays.

I prefer red for hunting as well, as it’s much, much more easily seen in low light, especially when shooting ranges at dawn in close woods. I might not exclude an LRF which only had a black display, as I did make black displays work for many years, but the two/three models mentioned above do what I need better than most (if not all) others in their class, and also happen to have a red display.

Ive got a bushnell gforce dx with the red display. Dont make em anymore tho. Only thing i dont like is the blue tinting image.
If i get another rf ill probably go with one of the ones vt listed.

I didn’t pay much attention to the Kilo 1800 I just picked up but relatively sure it was an orange or red, same as my old Leupold.

I’ve used a few with black display, preferring those with thicker read outs but not to the newer illuminated models.
