Of you people out there how would you rate the Springfield Aromory XD Sub-compact in 9mm????? How accurate is it and how does it shot????? Would you tell a family member or friend to buy one and if not why????

I'll just say I don't like one thing about these things and leave it at that to prevent a flame war.

I don't currently own the XD 9 subcompact, but based on the performance of my XD45 service model, I'd buy another XD in a heartbeat. Great guns.

Carried one for over a year now. Reliable, accurate, easy to carry. Also have several service models in 9/40/45acp. I have more expensive pistols, but this is the one I depend on.

I have nothing against the XD platform, but for the life of me I can't see the sense of having a light rail on a 3" gun.

Couldn't have said it better myself:)

I've had mine for over 1.5 years. Put probably 1500 round through it and the only problems I've ever had were due to reloading light loads (my fault) that caused failure to feed. The XD series pistols are always compared to Glocks but for me the decisioin to buy this was a no brainer when I actually spent some time shooting both the XD and Glock pistols. I absolutely love the grip safety, loaded chamber indicator and the firing pin indicator. I would buy another and recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to conceal, reliable carry piece.

This is my everyday carry gun for about 2 1/2 years now. at least 3,000r through it with never a failure of any kind. Kind of thick, but fits my hand well, and I shoot it well.

If I were in the market for a sub-compact 9m/m, I would consider the
XD-9 sub-compact from Springfield Armory. Unfortunately, the only 9
m/m that occupies space in the safe is a West German SIG-SAUER
P228; and its been in the stable a long, long time, and ain't about to
go anywhere~! ;) :D

I've had a XD-40SC for about 2 years now. I've never had any problems with it. I wish that I had bought the 9mm instead. For some reason, I really prefer shooting 9mm's now.

There were a lot of people that voted against the XD, but no negative reasons were given.

I don't think that you can go wrong with a XD-9SC.

An XD sub 9 was my CCW choice for a long while until I got my hands on an excellent used S&W 3913 (single stack 9mm compact) and then I began to notice how "blocky" my XD sub was.

The XD sub is a great CCW, but's the XD's thickness and my belt line's thickness were in conflict.

The S&W 3913 won the contest for daily CCW carry.
