I recently purchased a used Automatic becnch primer tool on eBay at a good price even though it was missing the primer rod's and primer tubes. I contacted RCBS and ordered the new primer tubes and also requested new primer rod assemblies. I was told the price for the primer tubes and was told that the primer rods would be supplied at no charge. When I received the automatic primer assembly it was also missing the return spring on the arm assembly . I again contacted RCBS to order the missing spring and was advised that it would be shipped at no charge also. Now that is what I call customer service. In over 40 years of reloading this is the only time I have had to contact their customer service and was very pleased withthe customer service I received. Anyone else have any contact with RCBS customer service with the same kind of service?

Not me, but this is nice to know since I recently got a lot of their gear. I whole lot. Well, a lot for me anyways.

Thats the only kind of service they know how to do in my experience.

About five years ago, I called them to ask if I could buy the new ball-handle press arm for my 1970 RockChucker, as the straight handle on mine was bothering my old stiff hands.

They sent me one free of charge the same day.

Thats like calling Ford and asking for free power steering for your 1970 Ford Pinto!

RCBS Customer service?
It don't get no better then that from nobody!

I've been using their equipment for over 35 years. I've called several times for replacement parts and they immediately sent them at no cost. I feel they must have one of the best customer service depts of any company.

I bought a set of used 30-06 dies that when received I saw the decapping rod was bent and the lock ring screw was stripped, well I called RCBS told them what I needed and also told them that this was a old set I bought used. Without a second thought they sent me everything I needed plus extra decaping pins FREE.

They remind me a lot of Zippo ie "It works or we fix it free"

Sent me a couple primer swage rods and parts for my hand primer. Lyman and Redding were not too good. :)

I have had excellent results from both RCBS and Lee when parts/supplies were needed for their products. If everyone treated us as well we would be really really spoiled.:D

After almost 40 years of use my RockChucker plastic primer catcher tray broke.I e-mailed RCBS and they sent me a new one,NO CHARGE !!!!!!.Can't beat that service. biker

I to have had great customer service from them.

Hornady is the same.

Even when you tell them you bought used they still insist on sending the parts free of charge.

I think if more American companies offered the same level of customer service, our country would look a lot different.

Yup. RCBS is top notch. But so is Dillon and Lee...;) Never had to deal with Hornady or Lyman.

Same here!

All the parts but for the base of my RCBS 505 were thrown out accidentally. I emailed RCBS asking if I could buy the parts to get my scale back up and running and they told me to send it to them and they would supply the parts under warrant. I wrote them back to be sure they understood the parts didn't break but were thrown away and they said they did understand, just send the scale to them! About a week later the scale comes back in a new box with all new parts but for the base but the base was also reconditioned. Best SC in the world, unlike Lyman!

For some reason the companies in the northeast like Lyman and Redding haven't got with the program. The rest of them in the midwest and out west have figured it out, service wise.

I have RCBS metallic and recently had shotgun reloaders - EVERYTHING was covered and replaced for free if it broke.. On their shotgun reloader, certain parts are designed to break to prevent damage to the press - even these parts are covered forever

absolutely the best - just call them and order extra parts, they'll ship for free, even if you are not the original owner

I have an older 357 die set and wanted to convert it to deprime on the sizer instead of the expander die. RCBS sent me a decapping rod for it N/C.
I cracked an older set-screw style priming arm on my Rockchucker, they sent a new arm also N/C.
And Redding sent a new drop tube for my old #3 measure N/C.

Same here... RCBS has sent me hand primer rods both large and small. Decap expander spindles for 223, 308 and 38/357 with decapping pins. All for free.
I wish I had known (or thought to call them) when I needed the primer catch tray for my RockChucker years ago.

Hornady has charged for some parts and covered others for free on my Projector and LNL AP. I'm waiting on 2 replacement female bushings for my press (free).

While I have yet to test it, I believe Lee has similar service.

Lyman -- not so much -- they will sell me a replacement decapper/expander assembly for my 30/40 Krag dies -- for only $24.95 -- And, I have paid for the decap pins for some of their dies in the past.

So, waiting on my new set of Lee 30/40 Krag dies that cost less than the Lyman expander. Anyone want to buy a used set of Lyman dies?

Yep, we reloaders have it good!

I've had to call on their CS 3 times. First was when I bent the pin and stem in my universal decapping die. No problem, they sent a new stem and a bag of pins.

2nd time I broke the head off my kinetic puller. No problem, sent in the broken one and got a new one back.

3rd time. I called and told them that the cat had knocked my 5-0-5 scale off the shelf and broke the beam. They had me send the entire scale to be checked out not just the beam. A few weeks later I received my scale in a new box and working fine.

All of this was no charge.

They are good people. I know most of them and they are true blue reloaders themselves and will go the extra mile (or 100 miles) to make sure your a pleased with their products.

I started with RCBS when I started hand loading in 1979. While most of my equipment is relatively new, I still have my original .308 Win SB dies and an old Partner press.

Over the past 33 years, I have broken recapping pins/assemblies on Berdan-primed brass and had a part missing on 2 pieces of new equipment. In every case, RCBS' Customer Service was impeccable and prompt and in every case, was covered under warranty. I have been uniformly pleased and am now addicted to the green Kool-Aid.

Ditto what everyone else has said. Even if it's lost or broken by your own actions they replace it and quickly. Have a Piggyback conversion, early model, it had a POS powder charging assembly. I had to have parts replaced almost monthly. I called and they shipped them. Finally they redesigned the system. I had to buy it, but was glad to do it. No problems at all since then. Best CS in industry as far as I'm concerned.

When I first started loading I had trouble with the brass set screws on their dies loosening up and not locking the die. I called them and they said the trick is to put a piece of birdshot in the hole so it deforms and holds the die and saves the set screw. They then shipped me some more set screws and a small baggie of birdshot, no charge. Still have some of that birdshot rolling around in an empty Sierra bullet box in my bench.

Indeed, kudos to RCBS customer support from me too.

I too bought a RCBS Universal hand primig tool on fleaBay, and it came without the shell holder plates and the spring the holds them in.

Called RCBS, the told the guy the parts I needed (I had the manual and parts schematic). The guy asked me for my shipping address and said the parts will be in the mail that day. When I asked how much it would cost, he said they were free of charge.

Can't ask for better service. :)
