RCBS lock out or Hornady powder cop

I started using the Hornady powder cop die, but found that it was too easy to forget to look at it. I wound up building a circuit with a pair of optical sensors that read the shaft position and trigger audible signals.

After some Pavlovian conditioning I've trained myself to not place a bullet on the case if I don't hear the correct beep. I thought about wiring the circuit to a shock collar, but that seemed a little extreme, plus I was worried that it might give my wife some ideas.

I use the lockout dies on my progressive. The lockouts work well if adjusted properly. It will catch high and low loads and definitely double and missed rounds. I have a powder check which is more sensitive but frankly I found I would occasionally miss looking at it so I went to the lockout approach.
