Re-priming .410 shells?

If you look around a bit you can find a Mec 600 Jr for around $40- $50. Of Course you'll need powder bushings that suite your loading needs and a charge bar as well, but that's about it.

And to answer your question about depriming and re-priming, you need to run them through a resizing process to bring the base back into spec. The Mec 600 Jr. is very easy to use, and not all that slow either. It's a 5 staion press, #1 Deprime/ resize, #2 prime, #3 shot and powder charge staion, #4 start crimp, #5 finishing crimp, and it will produce really nice crimps when properly adjusted.

You don't want to take the advice given, and it seems you do not have any form of manual for reloading - perhaps you best better stay with buying a few boxes of factory ammo and be safe

Thanks for the useful advice, Dad.

I guess everybody that is new to reloading should just buy ammo instead. :banghead:

To the OP. NO I think that everybody that is new to reloading SHOULD read and FOLLOW the instructions/load data that is safe at least when learning how to reload. I think that all anyone here wants is for you to be safe. A lackadaisical attitude will give you a bad day at the very best.:banghead: I also could see you saying "so I just hafta pour a bunch of powder and shot in the hull and crimp good for an OK load, that's just so easy".:what: Really there is no way to gauge your level of experience without YOU showing in your post that you have SOME previous reloading experience. I have been metallic reloading for 40+ years but the shotshell reloading as I am finding out is a TOTALLY different animal completely.
Stay safe my friend.

If you are serious about reloading shells, and serious about doing it safely, then you really need to buy a good shotshell reloading manual and read it thoroughly.

Almost every question you have asked so far will be answered in detail in a good manual like the Lyman 5th edition manual.

You simply cannot cut every corner possible and end up with a good, safe product. We would really hate to say we told you so.

I load 44-40 & 444 brass using news paper as a paper jacket & cereal boxs for over powder & shot cards. I don't resize the brass. I have worked up the loads just shy of needing to with Red Dot & 10B101. I had no experince with loading shot shells.
