Recommend a good compact .40 S & W please!

DA/SA SIG luver here as well; not really that mode of operation, but I would have
to recommend the Kahr CW-40. Its a single stack .40 S&W that only weighs 15.8
ozs (+1.9 ozs. for an empty magazine); and its very slim in design. I have the
CW-9 (a 9m/m) in the same type gun, and it makes an excellent CCW piece.

I'm looking for the exact same thing and have narrowed it down to the M&P or Kahr. I hear such better things about the M&Ps over the XD's or else I would have picked up an XD a while ago. Seems that the Glocks, XDs and possibly M&Ps are all fairly thick for CC with light layers of clothes which is why I like the Kahr. I have shot or held all but the M&P and they all were good except my hand just doesnt fit on the compact Glocks like it should.
