What part of SA/DA did all the Glock/XD/M&P posters not read? My initial thought was a Sig 239 - single stack, SA/DA, non-poly with a decocker. It's a little smaller, but if you get the pinky extension for the mag you have a shooter. I've never shot an alloy-framed Smiths, not for prejudice, just for not ever being around one. Seems like people who have them love them like they're in some kind of exclusive club.

I shoot sigs and absolutely love them. I have two 40s, a smaller p239 for the car and a larger p229 for the home. Never jammed or misfired in thousands of rounds.

Look at the witness line you can change complete uppers for 200 bucks and go from .22 to 9mm to 38super/9-23,40,45,10mm all on one frame. And the match can be bought for 500 bucks and is a S/A but they do have da too.
