Recommendation? Single Stack for CCW

If you get a chance to try an HK P7. Most folks who try them find a way to own one.

S&W Shield. 9mm. Held a XDS in 45. It seemed nice. Ruger, Taurus, Kel Tec, Old 3913. Sig, Kahr, all make single stacks.

My favorite single-column-mag autoloader for carry is my Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. In the days when I owned many 1911 pistols, I learned the full-sized 1911 was most likely to be drama-free. Les Baer pistols have frames that sit just a bit lower in the hand, because of the way the junction of the trigger guard and front strap is sculpted. I started handgunning with a 1911 in 1982 or 1983, and while there have been times I did not own a 1911, there is something very comforting about them.

I can usually dress around a full-sized pistol. When it becomes impractical to do so, well, that is why I own several snubby revolvers.

My only single stack is my Nano. It's pretty skinny. It goes everywhere with me due it's size.

I also like the Sig 239, the Shield, and the new XD 45 single.

HK P7.

Superbly engineered, superbly built, superbly accurate. Factory trigger second only to a good 1911, very safe to carry.

Do a search on it if you're not familiar.

Sig 239 is my edc. I do like it. Also, one of my favorites was my S&W CS9.... sold it years ago..... doh!

I snatched up one of these in .40 (and bought a 357 sig barrel for it). Same nice feel as my P6. Single stack Sig P series fit well in my hands.
