What do you CCW with Single Stack or Double Stack?

I have grown to like single stacks far more than double stack guns for CCW carry. So cast your vote and tell us the reasons why you carry your single or double.

Double Stack/ and single stack depends what gun i want to carry 11 rounds of 45 is always better than 8 but sometime the smaller of my 45's that hold 8 is a lot easyer to cover up in ccw carry

I voted for single stack only because I happen to be carrying such a pistol at the moment, but I have no problem concealing my Beretta 92 or Glock 17.

Single stack. 8+1 in a government model, or 7+1 in an officers frame especially is easier for me to carry w/o printing than any double stack I've tried.

Don't see the sense in a 10+1 carry and the extra width it entails.

Double stack for me.It's just easier to slap the same loaded mag into any one of my different Beretta's and mozy on out the door.No worry if this brand of mag is reliable in this certain gun.

Single Stack

Thinner for better concealment.

Single stack for concealed carry (it's not the length but the width that causes most concealments problems). Double stack for home defense (where concealment is not an issue, the bigger the gun and more rounds, the better).

I use both but use double-stack most of the time. However, if I was looking for a new carry piece today I would probably look really hard at single-stacks since I agree that thinner pistols work better for concealment.

I voted double stack because Im currently carrying one. I also carry single stacks though. My double stack is currently my xd-9 which is a very thin gun, I would like to also pick up a browning hi-power, another thin double stack. Its definitly more the width than the length of the gun that matters. Either way, use a good holster and a better belt.

I've carried single stacks before but I always end up going back to one of 4 guns: Glock 26, 19, Taurus PT-145 (it's reliable and no cracks, so don't start), or an SW99 (recent addition). Most single stacks don't fill my hand properly. By nature, I dress in fairly loose clothing, so I have no trouble concealing these guns. I'm chewing on the thought of getting a Glock 20. Maybe if I think about it long enough, I'll decide I don't want it (I already know I don't need it).

Single stack cuz I learned to shoot a semi-auto via the 1911 platform.

To this day, double stack grips just don't feel right in my hand.

Currently a double stack 40-svi it not much wider than a lot of single stack 1911's. But I am getting a Stainless 9MM officers. I will see how that works.

i like em both

I have always carried full size autos, either my Ruger P89 or the P90. At 6'2" and 235lbs I have no trouble with hiding my girls.

I used to carry my G17 exclusively, but recently I have found myself carrying a Colt M1991A1 Compact ever more. I don't fell handicapped by either one and certainly would not feel undergunned carrying a single-stack 9mm like a Sig P225, P239 or HK P7 variant.

I carried my Para 14/45 Limited one day just to see what it would feel like. I've carried my G23 a few days and carried my Taurus PT99 for a short while because it's what I was training with. But the overwhelming majority of the time, I've either carried a single stack semi auto - very small, small, medium and large.

Or a 5 shot revolver.

4 (Kimber, Springfield, Colt) Single stacks.

I prefer the doubles, they fit my hands better.

Single stack for me, unless I am carrying my model 60, then I don't think it's either. The onlt reason I carry single stack is because I have yet to find a double stack 1911 that I like even a little bit.
