My answer remains unchanged in the last 65906750709543543 threads asking this very same exact question: CZ 75 - any and all variants. For all the reasons listed 590089027354365 times in those threads. :p :)

I have a PD trade in S&W 5903 that is a real good shooter and, there are still some of them along with some 5906's that are PD trade in's and can be had for three or four bills and most of them are in pretty good shape. Might also want to consider one of the P6's that are now being imported from Germany . I have a P229 which I could convert to 9 but would rather just have a total different weapon, which is why I am buying one the P6'S.

Your name implies that you are a Walther fan. You might want to stick with the brand and try a P5. You can pick up a used police turn-in for under $400, and you'll have a gun that will give you years of reliable service and a lot of range thrills. The German police were known to frequently carry but seldom shoot their firearms -- a good thing for those of us wanting to grab up a used Walther.

Shop around. Whatever is comfortable to you and fits well in your hand and meets your price requirements is the one you want. Simple.

I own a third generation Smith and Wesson 9mm....the 6906..after researching it constantly, asking questions, and experience with the gun it is a great handgun built like a tank and one of the best 9mm out there....then again you can always go with the tried and true M9
