Ok I know season one was pretty dumb, and maybe its more the change of my attitude, seeing the show as a bunch of guys just playing around with guns for fun, but season two has seemed better.

But even if you forget every other episode, next week is a SUPPRESSED MARK 19! Yeah, try to act like that's not cool, or that you wouldn't want to shoot it.

lol. that is kind of cool. but also seems kind of dumb. a supressed grenade launcher... i've shot plenty of mark 19s and never thought "i wish this thing had a silencer". lol

the guys at Red Jacket are experts at finding answers to questions nobody asked lol

Silenced Grenade Launcher
1000 Yard AK
Double M-16
Triple M-16
Quadruple MG-42 (that doesn't work)
Anti Pirate Huge Bottle Rocket Launching Array
Motorcycle/Chopper/Machine Gun Abomination

Seeing a trend here?

Hadn't actually seen it until...

I was surfing a couple nights ago and came on the episode with the four autos welded together or some such hillbilly engineering.

I lasted about a minute & a half. What drama queens. Frankly, I'd rather watch Billy the Exterminator.

a suppressed grenade launcher.......i can only imagine what the set-up story for this will be......

this is my forecast on how the episode will go:

BUYER-"hey will, im a special forces elite covert tactical government contract operator.......and when were out hunting terrorist pirates, they often have time to dodge ouR grenades, because they hear the shots being fired..........is there anything you can do to help me out?"

WILL- "well, ill see if we cant figuh sumtin out.."

BUYER- "oh great, and ill need that within the next 20 hrs..."

[Will goes into work shop]

WILL-
" all right yall, we need to build a silencer...."

VINCE-
"all right, we have plenty of those, why dont you grab one off the shelf?"

WILL-
"well i would, but last i checked, they dont make no suppressors for a grenade launcher......."

KRIS-
"WWWWHAT!!!!...THIS IS TOTALLY CRAAAAZY!....I CANT BELIEVE WERE GONNA MAKE A GRENADE LAUNCHER SILENCER!!!!!!!"

It's a television show, not reality, and doesn't merit serious consideration of the practicality or applications of what they do.

That was pretty good. You forgot to add "this will open up a whole new market for us to dominate."

I watched a show that followed the Barrett family. Lets call it the anti Sons of Guns.

Too bad there was only one episode.

Don't like it? Change the channel. I'll continue to glean what practical info the show presents and blow off the silly bits.

I don't watch the show as I could only stomach two episodes. Unfortunately, I still have to watch the commercials and previews while watching other discovery programming. To each their own.

At least there's the chance that it exposes more people to the hobby.

I might watch it if I see it while channel surfing...

About the only one I remember sitting through was the shoulder fired 1919.

I particularly enjoyed the bit where Will said something about firing HE rounds...and loaded practice ammo.

That's a lot of blowing.

The guy knows guns....no doubt about it, but his gunsmiths seem to be Bubbas and most of his projects have no practical purpose. His daughter definitely is the brains of the business. The few times I have watched it, it seems much of their shooting consists of shooting at extreme angles into water.

As much as I like guns, I only watch it if there's nuttin else on.

Come on guys, it's about guns. Would you rather watch another cooking show?
I don't care how much I like something, if the show annoys me, I'm not going to watch it. Future Weapons fell into this category, mainly due to the host. I don't remember his name, but do know he was a Navy SEAL for ten years. Probably because I heard the phrase "Navy SEAL for ten years" more than I heard his name...

And yes, I do watch cooking shows on occasion. I was raised by a single mom, and I am a single dad - I know my way around the kitchen pretty well.

I really liked the first season, but the second season seems redundant. The first episode and the latest have been the same-they put three/four guns together.

I think the stuff they make is cool to watch and I am entertained by the show.

Don't get me wrong, I also watch cooking shows (not as much as I used to since I finally learned how to cook) as well as woodworking shows but I would still rather watch a show about firearms no matter how innocuous they may seem since I may pick up some bit of information that may be useful. After all, firearms may have a more direct affect on ones life than the other TV programs.

IMO, this second season is more boring than the first one. I wasn't interested in the technical and construction aspects of the guns, so to me, watching them try to figure out how to murdalize historical gun mountings for 30 min wasn't much fun. I wish they'd spend more time on things like FFL's, the customers, and how the tech works. It's still fine, but a bit too much for a full hour.

Its just a tv show. It is set up for people that dont have very much gun experience. Shows like this show the gun community in a good light. If you want boring real world technical stuff on guns sit at home and read the manual that comes in the box.
