I've been wanting a Burris Fast Fire III for my turkey shotgun, but Academy (who now owns Redfield) has the Redfield on sale now for $112.49. Price makes it mighty tempting, do any of you have any experience with it? Thanks for any help.

Had a few replies, where did they go? Anyway, I couldn't resist the sale price, so bought one today. It looks good, can't wait to get it mounted and will report back. Thanks for looking.

Well, I was able to mount the Redfield Mini Reflex Red Dot on one of my Ithaca 37 turkey guns, no problem at all. The Ithaca was drilled and tapped so all I had to do was pick up a Weaver base and mount it to the receiver. The Redfield came with a Weaver/Picatinny base, so it was easy. Used 3 shells to sight in, so far so good, I'm really liking it. Of course, it has not "withstood the test of time" yet, but I've always liked the Redfield brand, and the price was well worth the chance. Turkey season comes in in a few weeks, hopefully I'll be able to put it to the test then!
