Redfield ESD battery change?

I have a somewhat old Redfield ESD red-dot optic... battery still works, but it definitely draining.
I have no idea how to change it - there is no obvious battery compartment. Does anyone know how to do this?

The top 1/8 part of the On/Off switch comes off, and that is the battery compartment.

CR 2354 button cell.

I don't know.

But I seem to remember hearing something about two pairs of pliers mentioned.
