I've never worried about holster wear. If you are concerned use Saddle Soap on the inside of your holster every once in a while.
Stainless guns will not exhibit wear. Blue guns will take a lot of holstering and unholstering for you to notice.
I make holsters and always line them with leather or suede. Suede can pick up dirt and dust but rarely have I noticed any problems with it. My lined holsters have worked well for over 30 years.
AZShooter and everyone
What about nickel revolvers like a nickel Smith and Wesson 27 Dash two?
interesting on the Kydex versus leather debate personally I have a tendency to prefer leather but I can see the advantages of Kydex and I own both styles of holsters.
What are some quality Kydex and leather holsters you all would recommend and also do any of you On this site make them for sale?
Or where would you recommend to get one from them with what materials I am particularly looking for one for a 3 inch king cobra also a 4.25 inch python and 6 inch Anaconda and also a 6 inch 27-2
