Regions Bank No Guns Tennessee

The personal decision to carry or not is not what the debate is about. The willingness to give business to a company that takes that freedom of choice away is what the debate is about. Just because one chooses not to exercise a right doesn't mean that right isn't necessary. I have not needed to use my concealed weapon in a bank. I haven't needed to use it anywhere. By that logic, I have no need for the right to CCW and shouldn't care if it is available or not.

Give your money to whoever you want - no justification is required. But the unintended consequence is that more anti-gun business owners will be emboldened to post their establishments as they realize business is not affected. Most gun owners don't care enough to go through the effort of changing their business pattern.

Here in Illinois, Regions is just as bad. On more than one occassion, I would go to the drive-up to cash a check from an elderly neighbor that was repayment for buying groceries, etc. for her (she no longer drives) and they wouldn't take it even though I had a checking account and a couple of CD's there! They told me I had to come inside!?!?!?
After three cases of this, I quit using the checking account (it was a second one - req. for the CD's) and closed it when the last CD matured. I also made sure they knew why I was closing the checking account.

I've never seen LEGAL 'no guns' signs at Regions Bank branches in Arkansas, Texas, or Mississippi.

I have been to Regions Bank branches in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, but never paid any attention to signs because you cannot get in legal trouble over a sign in those states. I carry past them and don't worry.
