Relative Merits of Militec-1 and CLP?

I haven't done what you would call a scientific test.

However, having used both CLP and Militec to lube my AR, and running it pretty hard. I use Militec. I don't do the hairdryer thing, and I don't run it dry either.

I find that a modest amount of Militec on the raceways in my upper, and on my bolt.... leaves my AR cycling VERY slick. I haven't had any malfunctions since I started using it.

I bought a 22lr conversion that makes my AR filthy. In a range session, I will switch between 22lr and centerfire. Even with all that 22lr crud in there, the centerfire bolt/carrier cycles great.

I use Militec on the bolt of my Ruger Mark II. I apply a few drops and spread it into a thin coat... most of it gets wiped off by the patch I use to spread it around. The pistol functions better than it ever did with Hoppes oil or RemOil because the lesser amount of liquid lubricant attracts less carbon.
