I ran it to a problem trying to load new Winchester brass, I sized it and was going to trim it and the pilot wouldn't fit but it would fit in the unsized brass.

I use the hornady hand trimmer, hornady dies

Any advice would be helpful

No you can FL before you trim, but you would only have to size the neck to make the pilot fit. I don't bother FL resizing new brass in my hunting loads, when I buy new it is either Norma or Lapua and they are really dang good right out the box, Winchester brass not so much, gatte give that the once over, but it works just fine once fired so I get it cheap at the range.

Where can i just get a neck sizing die for the. 264, looked at midway and all they have is fls dies.

It wouldn't matter what brand if i could find one

I've always neck sized new brass before trimming it. FL sizing could actually increase head space if you don't yet know your chamber dimensions yet. So neck it, trim it, and them fire form it, and you'll then have a good base line to work from. When forming it, I always recommend the first load be a good full pressure load to get that brass out to chamber dimension. In fact, I personally run a first load that is at max, just to get the job done on the first firing.

When you eventually get to the point that the shoulders need re-setting, carefully proceed with your FL die so as to not go more than about .002".

Gotta love those .264 win. mags. !

Thanks for the info

I haven't fire formed any brass just started to load for it and I'm fairly new to reloading only have around 3000 rnds of pistol and rifle under my belt.

So any information i can get i really helps me out on my learning curve this. 264 really had me stumped
thanks again
