How much ammo do you need for plinking ?

The cost of a reloading setup and components needs to be compared to the cost of loaded ammo, based on how much ammo you use.

If you don't shoot a high enough number of rounds, it doesn't pay you to invest in a reloading setup.

Having said that, reloading is definitely cheaper than buying loaded ammo.

I agree . I bought my press for 2 reasons (1) to save money , but I don't know if I shoot enough to ever pay for the equipment I keep buying . (2) To have ammo when I want it . That hasn't worked out to good either because jacketed bullets & powder are so hard to find . I am slowly getting there with powder though . Just found some 4227 this weekend .
