Does anyone know if a specific manual has data for rainier bullets?

i's about time for a new manual and I shoot mainly Rainier bullets so it would be nive to have good data.

Thanks

This is directly from RainierBallistics:
We, at Rainier Ballistics, recommend using lead bullet load data when loading our bullets. There is no need for adjustment when using lead bullet load data. Our bullets are jacketed using an electroplating process and are softer than traditionally jacketed bullets; hence the recommendation to use lead bullet load data. If you only have access to traditionally jacketed load data, we recommend reducing maximum charge by 10%. A roll or taper crimp may be used with our bullets; do not over crimp.

Ranier used to have a link to data from Vihtavuori and Accurate with their bullets. Now they just say use lead data, which is safe. You can load hotter with most of their bullets, but sometimes Raniers will give more pressure than jacketed with some loads. I have a physical copy of Accurates data for Raniers that I can mail or fax. I routinely drive plated bullets faster than lead with no problems.

If you shoot alot of Accurate powders like I do they have specific Rainer data. You will find that it does differ from just using lead data. Since I shoot probably 35% Rainers it is very helpful. The Accurate book was well worth the investment for me just for the Rainer data alone.

I believe the latest Lee has some data for copper plated bullets, but that is for Accurate powders as well.

Gotta love the price on Rainers. Find the correct data and you don't have to neuter the load like lead. They can also be very accurate

I use a lot of Berry's and Rainier bullets. I load them in the middle range for jacketed not to exceed 1,100 FPS. I have never had any problems.

+1, same method I use when working up loads with plated bullets. No problems here.

Thanks all for the responses.

I am looking for another reloading manual and since I shoot mostly plated bullets I was looking for a manual that would have good info. I am using unique in my 40sw and 45 ACP and universal for the 9mm.

Thanks again

PS thanks ArchAngelCD. Thats good info. I must have overlooked it on the rainier website

Hey Steve C
I have a hard copy of the PDF you provided. Thanks for the PDF file. I also have a hard copy of the Accurate data for Raniers that they used to post a link to on the Ranier site. It may be in the Accurate data book, but I have not seen one of their manuals except the little freebies. Too bad you don't have that in PDF form too. :)

As you can tell from the top of the first page they used to have links to Midway data, Accurate data, and Vihtavuori data for Ranier bullets on the web site.
