I originally had an old tin of Rem #11's my father gave me with my ROA. I had to pinch them. I bought CCI #11 magnums and had to fire 'em twice to set 'em off.

I purchased a new set of nipples from ToTW with the ROA outside dimensions and TRESO inside dimensions, and they stated they were designed for CCI #11's. But the magnums (the only CCI #11's I seem to find around here) are just like my ROA nipples as they take 2 strikes usually.

Rem #10's have been my friend. They work great and set off on the first try. But I'm still curious about #11's from CCI. I order my powder from Grafs and all they sell are CCI caps by the 1000. I'd be pissed off if I bought that many to save on the hazmat only to find they don't work.

Has anyone tried these in comparison to Rem #10's or with Track of The Wolf nipples?

If they are taking 2 strikes to set off then my guess is they are to small.

The first strike seats it, the second fires it.

I prefer Rem #10 also and ive tried all the same ones you did. CCI #10 way to tight, #11 fell off, Rem #11 fell off and the walmart winchester #11 are the same as the CCI they fell off as well.

I have some CCI 10s, and #11s and some rem #11s and if i run out or cant get any more Rem 10s then ill make them work but if i want a trouble free day of shooting the Rem 10s are the ticket.

The CCI #11's you used, magnum or standard?

I'm guessing there's more compound in the magnums, which isn't allowing to seat snuggly.

I would think ToTW saying they fit CCI #11's would be a pretty good start, but I've never used their nipples so I can't help there. You can always turn down your nipples a bit if the caps are too tight

Remington # 10s are my friend. They work on most of my guns. I have to pinch them for some but they work. I have both CCI 11s and 11 mags and along with Winchester 11s, I wish i had saved my $$$.

I put Tresco nipples on my ROA and used both the CCI #11 and RWS 1075 Plus caps. I did not have problems with either. The RWS did seem to fit a bit better. Why don't you give them a try.

I want to give the CCIs a try, but I don't want to have to buy 1000 to see. Seein that ToTW claims they were made for them and it was stated by bullslinger that they work I may just have to do it. I still have several tins of rem #10 so I'm not in a hurry. It'll be nice to know next time I'm ready to order caps or powder from Grafs.

That's what I did. But that means I'm paying for a hazmat fee with them for caps, and then again with Grafs for powder. I'd prefer to consolidate if I can.

Phil says you should modify your nipples to fit the caps you can get. He bought thousands of CCI#11 and converted all his guns to fit the caps.

To me that sounds expensive what ever nipple he uses to replace all my guns would cost me enough i could buy a whole new gun.

I dont know what 10,000 caps run but i have 7 guns the cost of all the nipples to replace them im sure would cost a couple hundred bucks.

I did modify a few nipples that were tight from dry firing. I then replaced them and the 10s fit good again.

Im still in the learning stage, i havnt yet decided on anything.

I can say i like T7 and #10 rem caps im not sure enough that i want to get 10,000 of them yet and 25 pounds of powder.

I want less fouling but i want the best accuracy. T7 3F has the less fouling but T7 2F has better accuracy

Then for the heck of it i try 2F pyrodex and wth! it shot good. Tried it in my remington and oh god i about wanted to throw it away.

I'm only interested in sporting grade powders, and Swiss is just a bit expensive. I've about settled on using 3F Olde Eynsford in my ROA and Lyman's Deerstalker. If I can get similar results from Olde E I don't need Triple 7, though I do appreciate the minimal fouling and qualities of less corrosion over time.

I've recently purchased another 3 lbs to begin working on a hunting load in my rifle. Time will tell if I've found a powder I can appreciate. My pistol does well with it, but it does well with everything I've fed it so far...
