I have a Remington model 141 gamemaster that I would like to make look like a Remington 14r. My rifle has a pistol grip butt stock and the 14r has a English stock and appears to have a lot more drop in the comb and heel, even the pistol grip 14s seem to be less parallel than the 141. If anyone has a 14 or 14r can you please measure the drop and let me know? Thanks
I am not seeing replacement English style 14r stocks at my usual sources, are you planning on making your own?
Yes I actually have an extra original 141 stock that i was going to modify instead of the one on the rifle, or I man get the pistol grip version from Macon gunstocks. Do you have any other source for m14 stocks? Numrich doesn’t have any and I’ve not seen any on gunbroker either
Macon was one of them. http://www.gunstocksinc.com/web_pages/Plate-pics/Remington-Stocks/Remington-Rifle-stocks.htm
Is the over priced one, the crescent butt for $149? And no I didn’t realize they were not interchangeable Dr
Yes there is one for 149 on ebay. The seller explains there are variations in the 14 that change the inner dimensions of the stock. Better to buy the cheaper oversized one to fiddle with.
