Remington 2 1/2 primers?

Hello there friends,

Does anyone about data compatibility between Remington 2 1/2 primers and other Large Pistol primers? Would Remington 2 1/2 primers be exchangeable with other Large Pistol primers as far as data?

I’ve tested a few loads comparing velocity using Rem 2 1/2, CCI 300, and Win LP only in 45ACP. Rem 2 1/2 gave the top velocity by 25-40 fps with Wib LP being close to the RP. CCI showed the least velocity by 25-40 fps but very consistent. This was a small test with two powders. I’d say they are interchangeable unless you’re loading max charges. You will see some data that list RP 2 1:2’s in magnum pistol loads.

What he said. I ran 50 of them that were given to me when I had literally none. Did act a bit hotter and I altered data after I got 2k Winchesters.

I've done no formal testing, but I've not noticed the difference between Rem 2 1/2 and WLP in my 10mm and 44 Mag loads. A review of my data shows around 20 to 25fps difference, which is not significant to me.
