My dad chopped my remington 514 down to a manageable size when i was little, and did a really nice job on it, but i'd like to bring it back to something approaching original condition while maintaining the ability to return it to the chopped down condition if i (god forbid) ever have kids. I'm going to keep the shortened barrel, and I'm going to add a stock spacer to the current stock in lieu of getting a new stock (because stocks cost 90 dollars)
I have basically everything sorted out except one minor issue. I do not have the original front sight, and i need to get a replacement. does anyone know what the original sight height was for the target front sight that came on the rifle?
