Recently traded a few guns plus some cash for a Remington 541-T. Bought it with the intention of reselling it only, and in fact have it for sale in the trading post section. Coincidentally I have been wanting a bolt action 22. I have heard the 541s are sweet guns, but I have been really impressed with what I have read about CZ 452 (Americans) and have heard they will not be made any longer. I know where I can get one right now for about $360.
My debate is this...if I sell the 541 for what it is going for on Gunbroker (usually 500 pretty easy) I would have enough money for a CZ AND a scope. If I keep the 541 though, I will still have to sink another 75-100 in a scope, and in the end I will have quite a bit more money in the Remmy.
Am I a fool to sell the 541 and buy a CZ? Or would accuracy be comparable?
Let the debate begin
PS I am looking for a real tack driver. I want something with a small hole at 100 yards. This will be my first bolt action rifle and I want to start out right.
