I picked up a Remington 700 LSS in 257 Weatherby Mag a few weeks ago. That heavy laminate stock just wasn’t my idea of the perfect stock for a hunting rifle and the trigger sucked. I finally got around to ordering an H. S. Precision stock and Timney flat trigger for it and got them installed today. It’s a totally different rifle now.
Here’s the rifle in it’s original form.

And current configuration.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the new look and feel. Now, it’s time to get it out to the range and see how it shoots.

It was a great looker to begin with. Now it has a great look that means business.

Nice score on what has to be a pretty uncommon gun. Not very many Rem 700s in 257 Weatherby out there I would imagine and LSS to boot.

Your transformation R700 looks sweet, congrats. You handloading for it?

My understanding is that they are extremely hard to find. I only found one for sale online before I traded for this one and they were asking north of $2K. I got into this one at a good price.
