With all the various clubs in The Highroad, I'm surprised there is not one for the 760/7600. There is one for the Marlin 336, Marlin 39A, S&W 686, S&W 642, plus whatever else I might have missed. Surely there are enough people using them. Just curious.

I've got my grandfathers .30-06 760. Plan on sighting it in soon. It's sat in a safe for years.

dad's got an early 1970's 760 Gamemaster in .30-06; updates performed last year include: Limbsaver recoil pad mounting (stock cut to keep oroginal length of pull), a new Bushnell 3 9 x 40 Trophy scope, scope mounted 'Hi-Low' on a weaver rail base w/ heavy duty weaver see-thru rings; since dad's up in age I switched him over from regular velocity 150gr Remington Core-Lokt softpoints to Remington Reduced Recoil 125gr CoreLokt softpoints...he averages .75" to 1.0" @ 100 yards for 3 shot group with the new ammo :D

I have one, it's a pretty accurate gun too. I prefer bolt guns but for the price you can't beat it. I just happened to come across a guy selling a brand new 7600 in 30-06 with scope, case, and 50 rounds of good hunting ammo, remington 870 12ga, marlin 25n .22lr, and some other gun that I can't remember all for $400.

My dad gave me his 760 gamemaster in .30-06 a few years ago because he doesn't hunt anymore. I took it out last year on my first hunting trip and shot a nice 4x4 buck! It shoots about 1" groupings at 100yds (3 shots). Now my dad really wants to go hunting again and of course, he wants his 760 back!
