I am in the planing stages of a Remington 870 HD (tactifool) build. I know that I could get by without this stuff but I want the look and whatever advantages there may be, or not...I am looking at collapsable stocks and seeking feedback from anyone with experience with the following models:

These folks have three different styles:

Or any others worth considering? Also, anyone used this foregrip?

Thanks for any input you may have, I'm looking for quality parts for this build and would be happy to consider any suggestions.

Remington offers an 870 Tactical...all built, and pretty inexpensive...$500.00 out the door.

Okay....

Lots of folks go through this, including me way back when.

I suggest starting off with a plain jane 870 and adding stuff one at a time. Shoot in between the changes and evaluate them. Go on after you've adapted to the previous change. Remove any item or mod that slows you down or otherwise hinders performance, even if it looks cool as heck.

HTH....

Indeed ^

I've sampled some of the collapsible and folding stocks and they just are plain uncomfortable to shoot. The less you shoot it the less effective you will be with it. A properly fitted full buttstock in either wood or synthetic will do you much better than something "tactifool" (Good word by the way).

Unless you just want it to look pretty and do nothing productive. Most of those products are well designed to separate you from your $ and render a perfectly functional shotgun less so.

There are some adj stocks and stock adapter setups that are very comfortable. The Arms Tech stock adapter is one of them. I wouldn't put this setup on all of my pump shotguns but I do like this setup on the two of the pump shotguns I have them on. The recoil is no heavier than a standard stock and I shoot them a lot. I also hear the Knoxx adj stock works well.

Looks nice kingjoey!

I shot some buckshot patterns with the Breacher/Muzzle Brake bbl you guys did for me and it turned out some nice uniform 8"-9" patterns @ 25 yards. It likes Remington standard OO buckshot. I haven't finished the shotgun it is going on so installed the bbl on another shotgun to test it out. The KA muzzle brake/flash suppressor is living up to it's reputation.

I have a Mesa Tactical LEO Low with a Magpul CTR stock w/o butt pad (for sale at the moment). In my experience, it's no worse than the factory composite stock that comes on the Rem. 870 for the most part, assuming you have a solid stock weld. And even so, I wouldn't want to shoot more than maybe 200 rounds at any one time. Where you pay is if your sloppy and don't get that thing on your shoulder correctly. One shot and your gonna be blue.
