Remington Bucket O'Bullets 22LR?

I like Goldens, but anymore I'm done with loose packed bulk 22LR ammo once I shoot up my stash. Going forward, I'll plink with the 50 round boxes of 40gr Blazers, 40gr Aguila and 50 round packs of Goldens if Remington still packages them that way.

99.5% of my .22 ammo is 50 or 100 round. Has become 100% of new purchases.

The few bulk packs I have ever had, the loose boxed 325s, 333s, 500's, buckets. Is where my squibs and duds come from. Regardless of brand.

When I buy .22s (exception DEMpanic imposed limits), I buy bricks or mostly, cases.

Thankful i still have better part of cases of super-x and wildcat. The reality of .08/rd .22 is flat scary. I keep thinking about all the milsurp ammo acquired for way less than dime - shipped. So how far off is $20/loaf for bread???

I have an odd application for the Golden Bullets.
Our IDPA club is allowing .22s under the NFC clause during panicdemic shortages.
I found that my Nelson Conversion would not extract its usual CCI or Aquila LRs at the Unload and Show Clear; I had to ask permission to "unload through the muzzle."
The Remington is not so snug in the "match grade" chamber and will extract. So I am loading the first magazine with Aquila and the bottom half of the reload with Golden.

I've used some in the past. Most of it went bang, but that is about all I can say about it.

During some previous ammo shortages I could never find cheap bulk 22 ammo, but was able to find better ammo, albeit at higher prices. I got used to shooting smaller groups with better ammo and have never gone back to the cheap stuff. I've found I'd rather shoot less and hit more even if it costs a little more.

I found CCI Mini-Mags to be a good compromise. Almost as accurate as the target stuff, but reasonably priced. I used to get it for $8-$10/100 rounds. Even at todays pricing ($14/100 rounds) that is as cheap as I'll go.

The best bulk stuff I have shot recently has been the CCI AR Tactical. Though since the COVID-19 panic I don't think they offer it in bulk any more just 300 boxes. Managed a 2nd place finish at an NRL22 match with that stuff once.

I seem to have better luck with the bulk loose pack .22 LR rounds if I transfer them to 50 or 100 round boxes for later use for range plinking. I suspect the longer they rattle around loose the worse they'll get.

.(Sometimes I end up with more rounds from a bulk pack than the labeling says.)

For serious use, I tend to buy the better brand ammo in boxes. (I have accumulated a lot of plastic 50 and 100 rd boxes.)

I also save the 100 rnd CCI mini-mag boxes and use them at the range. When I open a bulk pack of 22LR, I just fill up the empty plastic bokes and label them.
