Unfortunately it looks like the Santa Monica shooter's much reported ".44 Revolver" is what appears to be a modern reproduction of a NMA. Looks a lot like my Cabela's offered Pietta in fact.
Hope this does not lead to the same kind of hysteria we are seeing today on the 6 month anniversary of another nut job's crimes.
In better news a couple of guys at church have asked me to show them how to safely load and shoot the C&B revolvers they have......neither is even sure what they have and both bough them over 20 years ago. As one is an otherwise serious collector I am curious to see what he brings in.
Makes it hard to know what to bring not having any idea what their guns are, so I plan to simply bring a couple of my own and hope that covers it for them.
As one is in his mid 60's and the other mid 70's, both LDS church men, BSA leaders and good guys I don't see either of them wandering about a college campus creating mayhem with their BP revolvers.
