Removing A "Lawyer Safety" on a Rossi 92

What is the method to remove the top bolt safety switch on a Rossi model 92' lever action. It looks like if I remove the ejector and firing pin assembly it should come right out. Also, when I do, do I also remove the floating firing pin cover or will that make the hammer throw too short?

I thought about removing the safety on my Rossi 92.
A friend ran this scene by me- sometime, somewhere, someone
manages to have a ND using the modified rifle. Guess who is at fault;
