I’ve had a CS Large Voyager clip point for a few years now. I tried a few times to sell it but no one wanted it. Finally I sharpened it up and started carrying it and came to quite like it. Naturally that means I lost it. I have one more place to look but I’m pretty sure it’s gone.

Any recommendations for replacements? I’d like a 4” ish blade in a fairly robust design under $100. If I go over $100 I have something picked already.

Yes I see the Voyager is still available using AUS 10 steel instead of the older CTS CB1 I had. Not familiar with that steel but I’m not picky either.

I have the X2 Voyager which is all serrated. That knife is a beast. I've used eat to cut through the pelvis of deer. Too bad you misplaced your voyager. For a replacement in your price point mentioned there is always the iconic Buck knife 110. Cold steel and Kizer have a knife that are robust that I like, but tastes are very personal.

If you like Cold Steel, the Code 4 knives are pretty nice--very light and thin. The lock is pretty stiff, you can take that as a positive or negative. I think you can find them for sale in your price range which is pretty good considering they are currently made with S35VN.

As pointed out, the Voyager series is still made and fits your price range. AUS10A is not a "super steel" by today's standard, but is roughly equivalent to 440C which is not a bad stainless knife steel at all.

Neither the S35VN nor the AUS10A are stars for toughness--they are more oriented towards edge-holding. If you want something that's really tough, there are better options.

I mean since I’m in the market for a new knife, I might as well talk about my over $100 options. I would like another Benchmade with an Axis lock. Any opinions on the Presidio II and Griptillian?

That lock is available in many other makes now that the patent is expired. This opens your options up.
