Absolutely the best out of the box stock gun I've ever fired. Light dao trigger was smoother than I ever imagined it could be. Recoil was minimal. This gun was dead accurate at 15 yards. More accurate than my kimber ultra carry ever was. I am impressed with this little gun. easy to carry in pocket or iwb holster it just seems to disappear. It weighs 22oz. empty and about 27 loaded. But it still is easy carry. This is the special box-priced (cheapo) mk 9. I walked away from my dealer for $471.00 tax and shipping included. Anyone looking for a 9mm small carry gun should check the mk9 from Kahr arms. I have carried a kel-tec p32, Kimber ultra carry, Glock 26, Taurus titanium 38sp snub(only weighed13oz.), NAA Guardian .380, and a bersa Thunder .380. The kahr is by far the best out of the box weapon I have had. I have to hand it to these guys on their small all metal guns. I have heard about the poly problems so I steered clear and I am happy I did. Any way out of the first 150 rds no ftf's, no jams, no hiccups of any sort. I am so pleased I just had to tell someone!!!:) :D :p

Thanks

for the replies. I am definitely serious this is the best gun I have ever owned!:D It is better than the $800.00 Kimber I bought last year:banghead: :cuss: It is real easy to slip in a pocket in shorts or long pants. Great all around carry gun. Next I'm ordering wood grips:neener: Nite sights:) and steal guide rod!!! Hopefully post some pics when I get it all set up!!

I ordered the wood grips through the Kahr website. More comfortable for my slightly large hands, they have more circumference than the stock plastic grips. The hight sights are also excellent.

I concur that the MK9 (Elite 98) is a great piece.

I too have been very happy with my MK-9. I bought mine the first yr they came out and there was no "Elite" option until after I placed my order. When it arrived the trigger was so nice I wondered what the heck they could do to 'improve' it. :)

Trigger

The trigger pull on my mk is extremely smooth and easy. I did not order the elite because of price and the unknown. But Like TheeBadOne says I don't really see how they could improve it any. The best darn carry gun I have ever owned. Looking to order grips maybe this week. Thanks again for the replies.

denfoote:

"Did you get the Elite 98 version?? It has a
trigger that is even better than the stock
model!!!!"

I am very interested in getting a Kahr. Would you
please go in to a little more detail how the
action of a standard trigger compares to an Elite
trigger. I have tried a standard, but haven't had
the opportunity to try an Elite model.

Thanks in advance.

The elite trigger group is smoother, lighter and a little shorter than the standard trigger.

Which is hard to believe, because the standard trigger is very sweet the way it is.

I have a bladetech holster/mag pouch FS is the hardware forum if anyone's interested.

I have the MK9 Elite. Trigger's smooth and light. Trigger pull is a bit long, but that's probably cuz I'm not used to DAO. It still shoots like a dream.

Joell33, your post sounds EXACTLY like me when I first got mine. Congrats. ;) :)

I've been thinking about the MK9....isn't it kinda dinky in your hand? My fingers are pretty long and thin and I wonder if it would be hard for me to shoot.

I'm wondering if the K-9 is small enough to carry concealed.
