~~RESIZED 5.56 for SAVAGE AXIS .223~~?

Did a search and couldnt find what i was looking for.
Came onto some 5.56 cases, can i full length size and trim and be good to load in my savage axis 223?

External dimensions on 5.56 case are the same as .223. Because my Savage Axis has a tight chamber, I have a batch of brass separate from the stuff I use in the semi-automatic rifles that I just neck size. It is all Lake City (military) brass with an LC78 headstamp and it works fine.

I use nothing but LC once fired and full length size them with the die touching the shell holder and then back it off a little bit for minimal shoulder bump. Never had an issue.

Yes. I actually small base size them, because they are likely to be shot form either an Axis (my son's) or an AR (my other son's, or mine)
