Hey guys, just looking for some opinions on the following:
I currently own an S&W M65-3 4" Heavy Barrel. It's a great revolver. Thanks to Radagast's encouragement in the "Date S&W Revolvers" thread, I also have a M27-2 5" en-route.
My quandary is thus: Are these revolvers redundant/should I sell the M65?
I live in NJ, so CCW is out for right now, and when I move sooner or later I would prefer to carry my Gov't 1911 or pick up a Commander (or maybe a 3" M65/M66?). So, no reason to keep the 4" M65 for CCW.
The M65 is just a bit uncomfortable with full-bore 158 gr .357's. I have to imagine the heavier M27 will be more comfortable. No reason to keep the M65 based on comfort.
I could shoot the M65 in IDPA, but again, I've only ever shot my 1911 because that's what I would carry if I could. The M27 would be illegal in IDPA with it's 5" barrel.
I don't need the money or anything, was just kind of spitballing here. What do you guys think?
