I just got my Dec. copy of Guns & Ammo magazine, on the cover is a Rhino revolver. The article does not cover much. I was wondering if anyone here has one or has shot one or has any thoughts about these handguns?

I got one first of the month. Blued 2". I collect neat firearms and have been following the Rhino and when i found one bought it. As I never will shoot it, I find it very well made. looks hand fitted. It comes with a quality holster to top it all,
On the con side I found the DA trigger really heavy and rough feeling. I also found the cocking lever is not light, Now the SA is light and crisp.
I love it and find it a nice addition to my collection.
Kind of a love or hate gun. lots of posters don't like change so they hate it. It is all metal. Like my plastic DA only Ruger LCR it is diferent. Ruger just came out with a .357 version and it is close to the price of a Rhino.

Here is an earlier thread on the Rhine.

Interesting gun!

I'd encourage anyone thinking of purchasing a .357 to use as a .357 (and not just with .38+p) to get at least a 4" barrel. Out of a 2" barrel, the .357 magnum struggles to reach 1000 fps, although Corbon's DPX does 1050. Coupled with extreme noise and high flash, a 2" barrel is just a waste of good gunpowder, turning the .357 into the ballistic equivalent of a weak 9mm cartridge.

A 4" barrel gains you an additional 300 to 400 fps in the .357!

I placed an order for one. I can't wait till I get it. . . .when ever that is.

gasp! buy a gun and never shoot it? that just seems wrong. tell me you at least take it out and pet it time to time?

That thing has more parts than a Rolex. It's just plain butt-ugly. I don't think I could cuddle up to that, prefer more graceful lines, like a lady not a pit bull.
