I'm pretty much sick of all the cartridge nicknames that have nothing to do with the company or individuals who created them. Creedmoor, Beowulf, Grendel, Hansel, Gretel, etc.
Oh, you're gonna love the 6GT

Most of the belted magnums with the exception of the 300 and 375 H&H. They burn 10 to 20% more powder for 5 to 10% increase in velocity over their non belted brethren. Oh I'm gonna get flamed for this one.
Don't think of it as a lazy spelling of hammer. It's a Ham Getter =Ham'r
Because Pork'r was probably taken and Pig'r wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

Or good old fractional offerings that get updated and re-marketed as an "all new" metric wonder round.
308 Winchester. Feels like the Diet Coke version of 30-06, and I hate Diet Coke.
22 long rifle isn’t good for anything. Can’t even get out of its own way. Can’t reload it. Dead end.
Thr
Anything with Creed in the title. (You said for no reason)
.350 Legend.
A legend of what?? It’s a two year old cartridge, it has no “legend” to speak of!
At the end of the day they are all just brass powder holders in different lengths and widths but I have a strong indifference to anything which I consider to be overbore, and I roll my eyes at a lot of the fanfare that has gone along with certain cartridges for decades that has no basis in objective fact. We have all heard someone proclaim that XXX cartridge is a "a great game killer that hits above its weight class" or other such non sense. Cartridges don't kill anything, the bullet that comes out the end of the barrel is what kills things. The cartridge case is just something to hold the powder and primer for us.
I dislike 270 mainly because my father in law and others harping about how great it is for decades. Any cartridge smaller is diminutive and underpowered, and any cartridge bigger is also inferior and doesn't hit as hard up until you get to about 338 win mag, at which point they become ridiculously overpowered and silly in his eyes. Every time someone brings up Jack O'Connor I want to throw a shoe at them. Myself I can't think of a single use for a 270 that I wouldn't rather use a 280 or 30/06 or even a 7x57
In the overbore camp I have to give it to the 243 winchester. Another cartridge that people have built into a miracle cartridge. To me its an overpowered varmint rifle and a showcase into how to turn 45 grains of powder into noise and the lowest amount of energy possible. I don't have a use case for a 6mm bullet with 45 grains of powder behind it, especially not one with a 1:10 twist.
I am overthinking this, I was supposed to be picking cartridges I dislike for no articulable reason, but I can't think of any that I don't have a reason for. The closest I can come is one with silly names or 30/30 winchester. An outdated dinosaur of a case design that just won't give up and die.
There are a lot of cartridges I don't like. First would be the 6.5 Creedmore and the 7mm-08. Both are merely necked down .308 cases and a 6.5x55 and 7mm Mauser is just as good or better. Second would be the Carcano. I just care for the rifle. As mentioned, I don't like the .270 for the same reasons mentioned above. .280 is my favorite. 30-06 is okay with me but it's a copy of the 7mm Mauser. The US just stole the design from the Germans and added case size and powder to replicate the ballistics, so I've read. The Germans did win a patent infringement lawsuit but the US never paid because it was on the winning side of WWI. The French MAS round. It's a shortened .308 to me.
I'm strange but I prefer the 32WS over the 30-30.
30 carbine
Nothing wrong with that, functionally its a fine round, as are most of the ones in this thread.I'm strange but I prefer the 32WS over the 30-30.

Im not much of a lever gun guy, and one bad experience with the 32 special was all it took to make me dislike it.
Easy now. I’m gonna get my feelings hurt and have to start hurling insensitive, hurtful comments in your direction.Ok then, 6.8spc...
I have been personally attacked. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go outside and crank my 2500 HD and let it run til I get up at 4:00. Gotta make sure them glow plugs are good and hot, so I can get to my heated shooting house before daylight and pick these Mississippi deer off at 800 yards on the power line.6.5 Creedmoore.
Its the official round of the "I need a diesel dually truck to pick up my groceries, and I need to put exhaust enhancers to make it sound like a semi, and idle it for 40 minutes at 5:00 AM" crowd.
Its also the official round of the "I can shoot, this scope/ammo/rifle just suck" crowd.
Its also the official round of the "I play C.O.D., so I must be naturally talented, so I need the best equipment, I'm going to buy a $1600 precision rifle, $400 in ammo, and do bolt-action mag-dumps because I don't know what to do, and am too emotionally fragile to seek help" crowd.
Most importantly its the official round of the "the magazine told me its the best round, and I don't understand the concept of bias, or misdirection" crowd.
That said, its a fine round and I have no real problem with it. Its just what comes to mind. Of course its adaptors probably have the same thing to say about me when I refuse to stop calling it the 6-5 Swede-more.
"oh that idiots part of the .308 is all you need to do anything from swat flies to disable satellites crowd. Probably still drives a carbureted car, and uses 56k"
ETA -This post was meant as a joke mostly. If you fit one of the caricature, no offense intended.
The problem is that 6.8spc was around for such a short time that I actually have no reason to dislike it. I have legitimate reasons (mostly) for my other dislikes. And don't worry, I have a thick skin!Easy now. I’m gonna get my feelings hurt and have to start hurling insensitive, hurtful comments in your direction.
......the 30 CarbineOh come on! A fun little cartridge in a fun little gun with a ton of history behind it. What's not to like?
