I was looking at one at a shop today. Doesn't look like you're left handed, but would you happen to know if it's difficult to set it up for the southpaws? Also, have you been able to locate any larger capacity magazines? I've read it's not possible to interchange mags with a P22, have you experimented with it at all?
I'm know that you can convert it to LH by yourself, but the manual suggests that you take it to a gunsmith. It honestly doesn't look like it would be too difficult though.
THe g22 magazines look nearly identical to the p22 magazines. The only difference is the floor plate.
And unfortunately, there are no hicap mags for it.
MAN, I wanted one of those when I was 14! My mom got remarried and my new step dad says he has one and I can have it. WOOHOO! Well, it turned out to be a Mossberg 152, which I still have, but a long way from an M1 Carbine look alike. I was let down, but old enough not to show it. I learned to like the Mossberg, but always wanted that Erma.
I have an Erma LA22 Luger look alike. You know, I've never bought an M1 Carbine let alone that .22. I guess I sorta got over it. LOL Main reason I wanted that thing was the Lieutenant on the TV show "Combat" carried one. I don't know why I didn't go for Sargent Saunders' Thompson, but I just liked the Carbine, the looks were sexy.
