I don't have any problems here that I'm aware of unless you're trying to tell me something.
Oh you have problems here...but I don't know that they are computer related. :neener:

The only thing I can think of is the modified date for the leaderboard (unless you were talking about after I updated it this afternoon)...either way no biggie.

:)

Greetings, All! After a break of several months, I'm back!!! Moved from Maryland to Ohio. Fairly settled in now, and I've found a place to shoot.

Mav, THANK YOU for your hard work and for keeping this match alive!!

This target is nothing to brag about, but I'm back in the game. I score it as a 59.

My standard tools:
CZ-452, Weaver 3-9, sandbags on a bench. SK Standard + ammo

Great shooting, all. CJ, great stuff. I may have missed it, but what are you shooting (rifle, scope, ammo, etc.)? Good work.

It’s good to be back!

Great shooting again this month everyone, as always!

It's not as easy to find time to shoot with it getting dark a little after 4:00pm.
Aaah hates winter!
Shot this target with Wolf MT from the bench with sand bags.
Ans 54, 15X, 50 yds
I scored it as a 1001111 (in base 2). :D
(But,I might have that wrong).
Hope to try again.

Thanks Maverick.
Has anyone shot a Marlin XT-22VR in the match yet?
I've seen a few general reviews of the XT's,
but haven't found where anyone's actually tried the HB model with decent match ammo.

I don't believe so. I don't recall anyone shooting any of the modern Marlin bolties (at least in recent months). You'll be the first! ;)

FWIW I really like the tubular magazine variants...though I don't know exactly why (and have no plans to get one as I'm stocked up on sporting type rimfires).

:)

I'm with you, I don't go squirrel hunting as much as I used to because I don't like to clean the boogers, and don't know many folks that want 'em. As far as new .22s, I'm holding out for an Izhmash Biathlon 7-4 toggle action target rifle...not that I really need that either.

:)

I didn't think so.
I might be tempted to buy one but it would be nice to get a look at one first.
None of the shops around here seem to have one in stock.
I'd probably go with a clip fed version, for no particular reason.
It would just be for target practice, I don't hunt squirrels anymore either.
I've been hoping to see a good review of the accuracy of these rifles.
Same here, CJ. It would be nice to see what they'll do.

Can't blame you, I, too would want to at least handle one before buying. Good luck finding one; I think I have seen a couple around locally (but no tubular magazine variants), but honestly I haven't paid them that much attention, so I might be mistaken.

:)

Well, it looks like I ain't gonna get a chance to poke holes in one of the 10 turkey targets I printed for this month. They say bad luck runs in 3's and I sure have had my 3 for a while.

About a month and a half ago, I got rear-ended at a stoplight by a teenage girl texting on her cell phone, then a couple weeks ago, at a different stoplight and in my wife's new car, had it happen again! That was two. The third one happened a week ago last Friday when my next door neighbor's house dang near burned to the ground. It's only about 35 feet West of mine and the heat was so intense that it melted all the vinyl siding off the West end of my house. I've been running around like one of them tree-rats hunting acorns trying to get all the insurance crap sorted out. Fortunately in all 3 cases, the at-fault parties had the same insurance company I do so the deductible cancelled out, at least for the two car collisions. Not sure on the house yet though as if nobody was negligent in the neighbor's fire, it'll cost me my $500 deductible. They all smoke though and the wind was blowing 40+ that day so I'd almost bet that the butt can they had on the back porch was the cause of the fire. Fire department hasn't said though, so I don't know yet.

I just hope the rule of 3's doesn't come in 3's as well - :banghead:

Hey, next month though, I'll have my new glasses and the old eyes ought to work much better. Looking forward to December's match.

Jim

Jim, I'm sorry to hear of your string of bad luck as of late...hopefully things will begin to take a turn for the best soon.

I, too, won't be making this month's match, just too much stuff going on whilst trying to get a new business going. I'll be out of town...again...tomorrow, but I should be back late tomorrow (looking like another 16hr. day), so the new match should go as planned.

:)

If you put those Turkey targets in the freezer, they should keep until next thanksgiving.
I'm sure your luck will improve as soon as you get back to the shooting range, Jim.

But I still have turkey from last year in there. Should I throw it out and stick these targets in?
If it's been a whole year, the targets would probably taste better.
Good shootin' CJ.

Note: Subject to change...there's still a little time left on the clock (depending upon your location).

Good shootin' folks! :)

Dec. is a work in progress (I'm currently working on "building" the target), should have it up and running later this afternoon.

:)
