Could I get some opinions on what mags work best in the Rock Island 1911 GI 45 ACP?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
If other brand magazines work well with your pistol, I would definitely contact Chip McCormick customer service about your CMC magazines - http://www.cmcmags.com/FAQ2.html#anchor_100bigfatdave said:CMC (I've actually stopped buying these, after a few quit locking the slide open WAY too soon and a few had the followers jump the feedlips - maybe I got a bad lot# or something)
A friend bought a RIA Tactical same time I bought my Sig 1911 TacPac and we both have about 7000+ rounds shot through them. While factory magazines worked well, most of the rounds were shot through stainless CMC 8 round Power Mags and blackened stainless Power Mags. They have performed well and we have not experienced any failure to lock the slide open with either pistols. One magazine was dropped on the concrete floor of the range and bent one of the feed lips slightly and affected feeding. After I bent the feed lip back to original position, it has been working reliably. The Power Mag and Power Mag+ series Magazines, have a 3 Year warranty against manufacturer defects. Additionally, CMC will support these magazines for the life of the magazine. Meaning that though the "Warranty" period is 3 years, we will evaluate and service these mags on a case by case basis, after the warranty period, for the life of the magazine. (At CMC's sole discretion.)
