I have a Rock Island 1911 standard type. I've been shooting and reloading 230 gn round nose, but I'd like to try some 200 gn truncated flat point, but I have read that some 45's may not handle them very well without feed ramp mod.
My RI is new, and the gap between the ramp and barrel is very small. I'm wondering if RI took this onto consideration and if non-round nose bullets will feed reliably, before I commit to loading them. Anyone have experience with them in a RI standard 1911?
