I was replying to another thread and didn't want to derail the OP so created a new thread.

Rocky Mountain Reloading sells their own brand of quality thick plated bullets called "Hardcore Match" bullets which have become my reference plated bullets for accuracy due to harder 11-12 BHN alloy core that resists deformation for more consistent neck tension/reduced bullet setback and .012"-.014" thickness copper plating rated to 1500 fps is now making their own pistol and rifle jacketed bullets.

We came out with (9mm) 115's and ... our methods are completely different ... we are making ours a new way that is a little more efficient.

Right now our single machine is selling pretty much everything it can make in a single shift. I've actually got some more machines coming at the end of September/October and we may be making a 124 RN and FN too.

We are going to be doing a 124 grain premium HP in house. The bullet will be very similar to the one we sell now with some minor adjustments made to the jacket and the HP cavity in order to get some slightly better expansion out of them. That machine is supposed to be done by the end of the month. Either that or our 69 grain .223 bullet machine will be done. I told them to finish whichever could be finished first.

Anyway, we are going to be pushing the jacketed line hard now. As long as copper and lead stay relatively low, there is no reason we can't sell jacketed stuff at almost the same price as plated bullets. Obviously, the HP is a different story. The amount of work and tooling that goes into making premium HP is surprising.

Same price as plated bullets?

Actually, with 5% THR discount (thehighroad5 code + THR ID in order comment box), price for 115 gr FMJ drops to/below lead/coated lead bullet prices shipped.

So $75.05/1000 shipped or $72.67/1000 (for 4000) shipped - https://rmrbullets.com/shop/bullets-for-reloading/9mm-115-grain-rmr-fmj/

The RMR 55 gn FMJ/C visually seem as good as Hornady FMJ/C, and a lot better then the Remingtons I bought a few years ago.

I have not had a chance to start using them yet as I am burning up the Remington, and I want at least 10,000....

The 55 grain fmj that have our name on them are not made by us yet. We have noticed that the quality varies from lot to lot and shipment to shipment. I've considered taking our name off of them for that reason, but lately they have been pretty good so I've delayed doing so.

We will be making a 69 grain bullet in the near future and I'm not yet sure, but I hope to have enough money next year to get a 55 grain machine.

I'll be on board with the jacketed 124s in 9 mil without a doubt. I am anxious to see them when they are delivered to me as I will definitely be buying some.

Your hard core match grade is all I use anymore for plated in calibers that are available for me.

I've been down and out for a while due to an operation on my knee that didn't go as well as expected but I'll be waiting and watching for these to become available since I'm on my feet again, (barely, I ripped it up pretty bad) but that ancient history now in my mind. On ward and upward!

Jake, let us know when the 9mm 124gr machine is up and running.

I'll be watching your web site.

thanks

These 124s shot great for me, so if the in house ones do as well, and are priced right, as I expect they will be, they'll be a great option for reloaders.

Jake,
would like to see the 124 jacket in FN over RN.
Don't know what others think but I feel some may agree with me.
Everybody let Jake know for the 124s. FN or RN

For any new members you can buy with confidence from Rocky Mountain Reloading
Agree, RMR is great to do business with and offers THR members a 5% discount with the code and THR screen name.

Just received my first order from RMR, was very pleased with the bullets, the price, and the fast shipping. You got my business from now on.

For any new members you can buy with confidence from Rocky Mountain Reloading. When jake first came here years ago I took a chance with the new guy and I've been pleased with service and products ever since.

Hey now, I've got you beat by two whole months. Who you calling the new guy?

My only regret is there were only 250 of the 90 Gr JHPs left a minute ago. Well, a few minutes ago. There's none now. ;)

Lol, you've got me jake! I was more referring to you being here as a business though. You and Brad Alpert have always been top notch and the two guys I prefer to deal with.

I'm actually anxiously awaiting my arrival of the 95 grain Armscor FMJ seconds. I've got some 380 cases begging for them!!

I buy all my 9mm from RMR, 115 FMJ. Very Very pleased with performance and price! Allright DudeDog, my vote would be for 124 FN.
PSSSTT, Jake, could ya put 155 or 165gr 40 FN on the wish list along with 185gr 45's too, Thanks!

I'd be OK with 69gr FMJ .223 bullets! I really hope you can start making your own 55gr FMJ as well...

RMR is all I use in handgun bullets, nothing better, plated or FMJ. I've been shooting lots of the plated HC match, and it's my go-to bullet for handgun (9mm, .357 or .45acp)! Please keep making those!!!!

My vote is for 124gr FN with a bullet profile that will also work in 357sig.

This will be the very first that we come out with. And it will be identical to the 124 RMR HC that we have been selling.

Just ordered from RMR again yesterday

.30-30 (.308) 150 - 170 Gr Mixed Federal Jacketed Soft Point Round Nose *PULLED*
Count: 100 1 $29.00

.40 (10mm) 180 Gr. RMR Hardcore Match RNFP Plated
Count: 500 1 $59.00

.223 Rem Mixed Headstamp Brass Primed Cases #2
Count: 250 1 $53.00

Subtotal: $141.00
Discount: -$7.05 (used code thehighroad5)
Shipping: $4.00 via Free Shipping + No Hassle Insurance
Payment Method: Credit Card
Total: $137.95

Don't have any empty 40 S&W cases but I'll have to work on that.

I have 65 cases ready to load 30-30 Win for the model 94.

I really don't like preparing 223 cases all that much and have a bunch of RMR 62 gr bullets here to put in these already. So I bought this batch that is already primed cases which is rather convenient for me and less time consuming.

I am a regular RMR customer. I get stickers with each order and a personal thanks note.
I am gonna go now and put one of these stickers on my wife's forehead. LOL

I just received 1000 185 grain RNFP today, and ordered 1000 124 grain HP yesterday. I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Another vote for the 124 grain in FN.
