Has anyone tried any of the ROMANIAN 7.62X25 86 GRAIN FMJ BALL AMMO
BRASS CASE AND BERDAN PRIMED from Ammoman in a CZ52 or TT33. It's a lot cheaper than the S&B but I'm hesitant since some of the Eastern block surplus is designed for sub machine guns like the SVT40 and has harder primers.

sub machine guns like the SVT40

SVT isnt a machine gun, forget a sub machine gun. its a 7.62X54r autoloading rifle

you may be thinking of the PPSh41, which is a SMG

I bought a case of the Romanian ammo from Aim to shoot in my Romanian Tokarev.
So far no duds in 650 rounds and it is suprisingly accurate out of my TT-33.
Kind of like the ammo and the gun were made for each other.:)

I will buy another case before it drys up.

The stuff I had was repackaged in the red plastic "New Generation Ammo" boxes, but it was definitely Romanian surplus and looked just like the picture on Ammoman's site. It was from the 50s, whereas it looks like the stuff for sale now is from the 80s. Maybe they changed to better primers by then, or maybe the stuff I had wasn't stored properly for all those years. Sounds like I'm in the minority as for having trouble with this ammo.
