Romanian SAR-1

This weekend I bought my third rifle, a new Romanian SAR 1. I also have a Mauser 8mm and a Ruger 10/22. I think this about completes my rifle collection. Unless of course anyone can tink of any other I really should get.

Well now you just need an FAL. And an M1A. And an AR. And - oh, you get the point I love my SAR1. It's ugly as hell, but it goes boom every time.

Definitely and AR15! You need a good rifle that shoots American ammunition other than your little 10-22.

Just thought about this for a second.

.22's are made by every country that makes ammo, pretty much - so are they an American round?

And, conversely, the 7.62x39 is also made by several US manufacturers, so that doesn't exactly make it a foreign round.

Just an observation.

Definitely need a larger caliber semi auto in there. Garand, M1A, FAL, HK91, etc.

Your collection will NEVER be complete. Besides, three rifles do not a collection make. That's more of an "assemblage"

Ahh..but you would go broke shooting a diet of American made 7.62 ammo. Even the UMC stuff is super pricey compared to $2.50 Ruskie ammo. I'd rather have $3.25 per mag full versus 12 or so bucks per mag full.

On the other hand American made 5.56 ammo is comparatively priced to foreign made 5.56.
